Dr. Robert Caret, former President of Towson University, launched a new admissions campaign for the university in 2010-11. I was asked to conceptualize a theme that would appeal to prospective students and stay true to the universities pedagogy. I found that at Towson University, students a balanced a lifestyle of academic research and real-world experience. Using a combination of vivid colors, abstract illustration, mosaic imagery, and a handwritten typeface, I created the theme of the Live It! Campaign. The slogan was based on the reality that Towson University students don’t only read about their academic interests, they live it! The senior designers then applied this theme to all the new admissions materials (posters, pamphlets, catalogs, website). The idea was so successful, it that won the 2011 American Inhouse Design Award from GDUSA Magazine.
